History: Catholic Charities of Northern Virginia was founded in 1947. At that time, it offered children's services and the organization's staff consisted of one office assistant and one case worker. More than 60 years later, the group's services have expanded considerably and it now employs 120 full- and part-time workers. It serves 21 counties and seven cities of Virginia.
